In Christ We Have More Than Enough (Ephesians 1:3, 7-9)

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ,…...

In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace which He made to abound toward us in all wisdom and prudence, having made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He purposed in Himself” ( Ephesians 1:3, 7-9)

We sometimes wish to have more than what we already have.

It is easy for us, at times, to look at what others have and be envious.

It is very common that sometimes we wish to have a little more money to indulge our desires, and often forget all we do have, which is actually more than enough.

We live in a culture where we can never seem to get enough.

But we have to remember that this is a trap from the devil to let us live in this lustful desires.

He wants us never satisfied and to always complain that we have not enough.

But we must reject this spirit of greed.

We must know that we have our Lord whom we can draw strength from, knowing that we have Jesus’ more than enough.

He is the One who provides all our needs.

He is our strength and the source of our life.

St. Paul said in his epistle to the Ephesians, chapter one, that if we belong to christ, Father God has blessed us in the heavenly realm with every spiritual blessing in Christ.

And in the epistle to the Romans, chapter eight, he said, if we share in His suffering, we are heirs of God and coheirs with Christ.

So we should be satisfied and more than happy to enjoy Jesus’ blessings and provisions that He has provided us on earth plus all the eternal glory that we will share with Him.

We are heirs of all that is His.

All what we have to do to feel satisfied and feel all what we have more than enough, is to thank Jesus all the time for all His provisions, and to reject the spirit of envy and greed.

These two spirits are snares and dark pits from the devil who tempts us to fall in. He tempts us to feel empty and not having enough.

The devil is a liar and all what he whispers in our ears are false.

We have more than enough in our Lord, Jesus Christ.

He gave us all His strength and power over sin and death.

We ask Him and He provides generously.

He knows all what we need and He gives us abundantly.

In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace, which He made to abound toward us in all wisdom and prudence, having made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He purposed in Himself, Amen.
