Today's Prayer

A Prayer To Be After God’s Heart

Dear Heavenly Father,

I come to You this morning wanting to be someone who is after Your own heart.

I know that You have sent me Your incarnated Son, Jesus Christ, to give me the way to be transformed to His image and likeness.

I used to think that I will never have a righteous heart.

But in Jesus I can be a child of God who is after Your own heart.

Thank You for reminding me everyday when I read Your word in the Gospel that I will be a partaker in Christ.

Help me Lord, to be wholeheartedly dedicated to You.

Even when I fall short, help me to remember that I can always return to You with a heart of repentance.

I trust in You Lord.

You can do the Impossible.

My heart might be tempted and be led astray to other things, but I ask You now, to bring it back to You.

You are my life and light and without You I will be dead.

Please Lord, make my heart to be after Your heart.

I love You. You said if I love You I must obey You.

Please Lord, give me the power to reject sin and be always in the way to be in Your image and likeness.

I give You all the glory, the honor, and praise now and forever, amen.
