Let Us Draw Near To God With A True Heart (Hebrews 10:19-23)

“Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh, and having a High Priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. 

Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.” (Hebrews 10:19-23)

Some Christians think that just believing in Jesus’ name, going to church, and paying tithe, make them perfect and justified. 

But the truth is, according to the Gospel, Just because we are Christians doesn’t make us perfect. 

We must receive Christ in us in the Holy Spirit and abide in Him. 

How we know that we received Jesus in us? 

When we see the fruits of the Spirit in us. 

When we become a new creation. 

Being in Christ and Christ in us needs us to obey the word of God. 

Aligning our Will with His Plan for us. 

Jesus said that who loves me is the one who obeys my commands. 

We have to have a new way of living which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh, and having a High Priest over the house of God. 

To draw near Jesus with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. 

To go to the Lord daily and repent our sins and mistakes. 

By repenting and praying for forgiveness, we open our hearts to God’s mercy, and let the Holy Spirit begins His sanctification process. 

He erases the effect of sin on us and make us ready to receive Christ and be holy as He is holy. 

We receive His eternal life which restores our peace and joy in Hm. 

Amen.
