A Prayer To Be Glad To Rest In The Lord (Book of Proverbs)

Dear Lord,

Today I come to You asking Your help to enter Your rest. 

It is Your promise, Lord, that I am seeking all the time. 

Sunday is the day when I rest from work and have free time to focus on resting and worshipping You. 

But Lord, I want to rest and focus on You all the days of my life not one day in the week. 

Most of the time my mind can easily get distracted, my body can be tired, and my focus can drift to the tasks waiting for me at home and at work. 

So, please, Lord, help me to truly keep my inner eyes and heart focusing on You all the time and everyday. 

I promise You that I will align my will with Your will and I will surrender everything in me to the Holy Spirit to clear my mind and sanctify my body to be ready to enter Your rest. 

I will lay all my worries and duties at the foot of Your cross. 

Right here and now I choose to focus on You. 

I want to truly receive Your peace and rest in the Holy Spirit and be inspired with awe as I do so. 

Prevent me from simply going through the motions in life, but instead, to sincerely seek You. 

Give me a clear mind and an open heart to feel Your presence continuously. 

Let me see my brothers and sisters in Christ as You see them so I can really love them. 

As I dedicate my life to You lord, please, help me to find true rest for my soul. 

That is only possible by having You in me in the Holy Spirit and not just by stopping doing anything. 

Thank You, Lord, for helping me to be renewed in the Holy Spirit spiritually, mentally, and physically, so that to be ready to move forward with confidence into the new life of peace and rest. 

In Your precious and almighty name, I pray. 

Amen.
