Today's Prayer

A Prayer Thanking Jesus For His Help Amid Trials

Jesus my Lord and Savior,

I desperately need Your presence to fill me now with Your peace and strength over all what I suffer. 

I confess that when I feel depressed and through my suffering I do not look to You. 

Instead, I am consumed with the ache of suffering and emptiness and this always lead me to a desperate desire to rid myself of the pain and hurt. 

So I hurry on with life, clinging to replace this pain and do anything myself and not ask You to interfere and save me from my suffering. 

Lord, Your word in the Gospel tells me not to be anxious about anything and to pray and present my requests to You with thanksgiving. 

I come to You, now, confessing that I do not have a thankful heart. 

I always focus on the pain and never go to You first, and thank You with faith that You will come to take away my pain as You promised. 

Forgive me Lord. 

Please, teach me how to be grateful to You even in the time of trial. 

I know that You are the only One who can solve all my problems and release me from my pain and sufferings. 

Remind my soul to look for You in the hard time and never forget to acknowledge You and thank You for every small gift and blessing You offered me all along my life. 

Remind me that the peace that You give transcends all understanding, it is a peace that guards my heart and my mind. 

Peace that assures me that You love me and here for me anytime I go to You and ask Your help and interference. 

Lord, You are my ever -present peace. 

And though I can become consumed with worry, still I know that You are there. 

You are there with perfect peace and boundless blessings and I am so grateful. 

Lord, help me acknowledge your presence and see your goodness amid trials.

And help me never forget to express my gratitude to you. 

You are the giver of all good things because You are a good God. 

And you never stop pouring Your love and peace to all those who receive You in the Holy Spirit. 

I praise Your name for Your peace and presence that transcends all understanding. 

I love You Lord, and I praise You now and forever. 

Amen.
