Jesus Cares For Us (1Peter 5:6-7)

“Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.” (1Peter 5:6-7)

These verses that we read should make every believer, in Jesus’ name, be relaxed and relieved. 

St. Peter is reminding us that whenever we face any trials we should not distance ourselves from Christ but rather cast all our struggles upon Him. 

Why? 

Because He cares for us.

The love of Jesus is the conqueror of the menacing evil that caused the pain of death in the first place. 

Jesus confronted death and darkness on the cross and He defeated them and He resurrected. 

He abolished death and all its spirits. 

St. John tells us in his first epistle, chapter three, that we have to perceive the love of God, because He laid His life for us. 

Jesus cares about our pain and walks with us through it. 

Also St. Paul in his epistle to the Hebrews, chapter four, reveals that Jesus empathizes with all the true children of God’s who struggle with human weaknesses. 

Because of that, we can pray for help with confidence that our Lord will give us what we need. 

For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have One who has been tempted in every way, just as we are, yet He did not sin. Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. 

Jesus already knows our needs and He loves us and meets us exactly where we are. 

Thank You Jesus for Your love.
