Today's Prayer

Prayer Asking Jesus for Deep Sleep.

Dear Lord,

Before I go to bed now, I will say like prophet Isaiah, “my soul yearns for You in the night watches” (Isaiah 26:9) 

And I will say like the Psalmist,” at night His song is with me, a prayer to the God of my life.” (Psalm 42:8) 

Lord, I place my unwavering trust in You because You promised me to be with me and to provide for every need. 

I put my anxieties and fearful thoughts that make me unable to sleep into Your hands. 

Your word in the Gospel says, that You will meet all my needs according to the riches of Your glory. 

Now I release all my needs to Your care. 

At times, guilt can disrupt my sleep, replaying in my mind. 

However, I have the option to bring this guilt to You cause You offer immediate forgiveness, regardless of the nature of the sin I committed, when I confess to You my sins and repent. 

You are faithful and just Lord, and will forgive my sins. 

You gave me the opportunity to be sanctified by the presence of Your Holy Spirit in me. 

Thank You Jesus for having mercy on me. 

I receive the Holy Spirit to cleanse me to be as white as snow. 

Thank You for loving me and helping me in the Holy Spirit to overcome sin and death and live in Your truth and light. 

Please Lord, fill me with the confidence of Your relentless love and peace. 

Your word in the Gospel persuades me not to be anxious about anything. 

Lord, I promise You that in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, I present my requests to You. 

I trust in Your promises as I immerse my mind in Your boundless greatness, unwavering love, and unfailing faithfulness. 

May You hear me supplications now and I have a deep sleep. 

I praise Your name with thanksgiving. 

Amen.
