Today's Prayer

Prayer Asking For Jesus’ Rest & Comfort

Dear Jesus,

I woke up this morning very weary and burdened.

Because of myriad of things going on in my life, I just do not feel good.

Please Lord, remove this heaviness from my heart.

In the Gospel of Mathew you called all who are weary and burdened, to come to You and You will give them rest.

I come to You now, Lord, to relief me from all the evil spirits that weigh me down.

I trust in Your promise.

You said You will give me rest now.

Please, Lord, let me feel now Your rest.

I promise You that I will obey Your command and I will take Your yoke upon me and I will learn from You.

I thank You and praise You for You are so gentle, humble and full of mercy on me.

I want to be humble in heart like You Lord.

I believe in every word you say because You are the truth, the Way, and the Life.

In You alone I can have life eternal.

In You alone, I can find true love, peace, and rest.

I believe that I will find rest for my soul in Your love.

Your yoke is easy and Your burden is light.

Please Lord, enlighten me from within and let me always in obedience to Your word.

Give me the power in the Holy Spirit to abide in You, and focus only on You.

In Your wonderful and precious name, I pray.

Amen.
