Today's Prayer

A Prayer Asking For Jesus’ Guidance

Dear Lord,

I want to thank You for Your loving kindness and Your mercy on me. 

Though I know from Your word in the Gospel which I read every day that You love me, yet I sometimes get scared when I see all the corruption and evil people and deeds around me. 

I thank You for reminding me in Your word that You care for me and You will never forsake me. 

That makes me feel peace and safe. 

You are my refuge Lord, in the time of trouble. 

Thank You for caring about the big and small decisions that weigh me down and threaten to destroy my future. 

Thank You for cutting away the parts of me that do not serve Your purpose of my life, despite how painful it may feel in the moment. 

Please Lord, pour out Your wisdom in the Holy Spirit on me to guide me to the best ways to live my life and be in Your will not mine. 

Please guide me to which pathways prove best for me. 

Please, come Lord, and snatch me out of all worldly thoughts and desires. 

I want to live in You and You in me. 

I want to feel Your peace in every decision I make relying on You and You alone. 

When I feel panicky about what to do, Lord, remind me of how You watch over me and advise without end. 

Thank You that I can come to You and get the much-needed direction I seek for the many crossroads of my life. 

I praise Your name now and forever, amen.
