Today's Prayer

Prayer Confessing Sin & Asking For Forgiveness

Dear Lord,

I come to You now asking Your help.

Lord, I am weary from trying so hard to change and surrender everything in me to the Holy Spirit and every time I do that, I fail.

I am still holding on things that I feel I cannot live without them.

I wear guilt and shame like shackles on my feet.

Lord, I confess that I am bonded by sin.

You see my struggle with the sin of pride, stubbornness, and selfishness.

I do not want to justify myself or rationalize my sins.

I just bring then out in front of You, Lord, and ask for Your help and forgiveness in the Holy Spirit.

Please Lord, release me from the devil’s bondages.

Help me to reject all lustful thoughts that lead me to sin.

Lord, I want to please Your heart.

I want to change and be in Your image and likeness.

I want to be holy to see Your face when I meet You.

Thank You for Your faithfulness, Your compassion, Your mercy, and Your work in me to purify my heart and life.

Help me walk in tandem with the Holy Spirit’s work of sanctification within me. in Your precious and holy name, I pray.

Amen.
