Today's Prayer

Prayer Asking For Courage In Fearful Times

Dear Jesus,
I love You and I need You. 
You are the king of peace. 
You said peace I give to you. 
I know Lord, that Your peace is different than the world’s peace. 
It is a true uncreated peace that no one can give except You. 
Jesus, fear surrounds me on every side. 
Everything in my life feels uncertain, and I am so scared. 
Thank You for reminding me when I read Your word in the Gospel, that You will never forsake me and I am engraved on Your palm. 
Thank You for reminding me that I can return to You anytime, no matter what I look like and my condition is, and I can seek out Your protection. 
Please, Lord, help me to be strong and courageous when facing trials. 
Help me to be confident that I will call You and You will come to protect me and save me. 
I rely on You, Lord, and trust Your words. 
I believe that my faith in You will remind my heart of Your steadfast love and Your constant protection. 
You will never forsake me and I thank You for Your protection. 
You are my refuge. 
Thank You for giving me Your Holy Spirit, the Spirit of comfort. 
In the Holy Spirit I can rebuke the spirit of fear and You can set me free. 
Please remind me to rebuke all fearful thoughts in Your powerful and almighty name. 
In You, Lord I can overcome all evil spirits. 
In the precious name of Jesus, I pray. 
Amen.
