Today's Prayer

Prayer To Rejoice In The Lord

Dear Lord,
Thank You for making this day and giving it to me. 
I confess that the first thing that comes to my mind when I wake up is my schedule and how I will manage it. 
I forget to talk to You first when I open my eyes. 
I apologize Lord, that I often rush past everyday blessings from You without noticing them. 
I get so caught up in my busyness or my worries that I forget to rejoice in You. 
Forgive me for the times I have wasted today by letting stress or fear take control. 
Please Lord, help me to see each day as the gift that is truly is. 
Teach me to pay close attention and notice the blessings You place in front of me everyday. 
Open my eyes to the opportunities to love, to serve, to laugh, and to give thanks. 
Show me how to feel glad even when my life is difficult. 
Help me Lord, in the Holy Spirit, to trust that You are with me throughout everyday that Your presence in me is my reason to be glad.
Lord, you know me from inside and I cannot hide anything from You. 
I do not lie but I really do not cling to yesterday or worry about tomorrow. 
I rebuke in Your holy and almighty name all the spirits of fear and anxiety. 
I choose to rejoice and be glad in Your presence. 
You are everything to me Jesus. 
You are so good and faithful to me. 
Please Lord, change all anxiety and depression in me to a spirit of joy, peace, and gladness. 
I give You all the praise and honor now and forever. 
Amen.
