The Spirit Of Gratitude Takes Away All pressures (1 Thessalonians 5:18-20)

“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. Do not quench the Spirit.”(1 Thessalonians 5:18-20)

It is very easy to thank Jesus when our life is going well, but it is very challenging to have an attitude of gratitude when we are dealing with a lot of pressures in our life. 
But Apostle Paul is encouraging us to be thankful in all circumstances for this is God’s will for we are in Christ. 
Jesus knows all the pressures we face, but wants us to know that He is there for us to take away all of them. 
The Spirit of Gratitude moves away the spirit of stress cause when we have the Holy Spirit we will overcome with it all the evil spirits of the devil. 
When we choose to practice gratitude, we can move our attention away from what we face or what we lack to what Jesus has already given us. 
We should refuse to let stressful pressures distract us from noticing and appreciating Jesus’ blessings in our life. 
It can be helpful to keep a gratitude list where we write down day by day all the blessings and to thank Jesus for them each day.  
Jesus is constantly pouring blessings into our life. 
The more we look for those blessings, the more we will become aware of them. 
Over time, practicing gratitude will change our perspective, so we can feel Jesus’ presence with us even in the middle of our pressures. 
When we pray we must start by thanking Jesus for what He Has already done for us. 
Thanking Jesus all the time will make the spirit of stress flee and the Holy Spirit’s presence prevail. 
This Spirit of gratitude not only honors Jesus but at the same time reminds us of His faithfulness all the days of our life. 
It also will relieve our stress and inspire us to trust Jesus at the time when we face troubles and pressures. 
Amen.
