Rely On Jesus, He Neither Slumber Nor Sleep (Romans 8:28)

“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.“ (Romans8:28)

Apostle Paul is reminding us that all things our Lord works for the good of those who love Him. 
Loving God means obeying His words and commandments in the Gospel. 
Jesus’ commandments are not rules to obey to be saved from punishment, but rather they are warnings to us to avoid the world’s wisdom and ways which lead us to sin and death. 
On the contrary, His commands are the way, the truth, and the life. 
Jesus wants us to receive His eternal life and overcome all the lustful temptations that lead to our destruction. 
He also asked us to rely on Him and lay down all our burdens under His feet and He is able to deal with them and change them to our good.  
We will carry the burden of unnecessary pressure if we believe that the way stressful situations turn out depends on ourselves. 
While Jesus wants us to do our best to live faithfully in all situations, He does not want us to burden ourselves with thinking that our efforts alone can make or break those situations. 
The outcome of everything rests with Him only to those who love Him, obey Him, and united with Him. 
That is good news, that Jesus is committed to working everything out for good purposes. 
So, we must release the results to Him. 
Relying on Jesus leads us day by day as we deal with life’s pressures, and to follow His guidance on all the decisions we make. 
We must not replay our problems over and over in our minds or let ourselves become overwhelmed with anxiety about them. When we catch ourselves starting to worry, we pray instead, asking Jesus to work the situation out for the best. 
We must declare to Him that we trust Him to do what we cannot do. 
The Psalmist said in his psalm that God will neither slumber nor sleep. 
So let us now rely on Jesus to handle our pressures anytime and to relax in His promise that He will never forsake us and He will give us His peace which no one can ever take from us. 
Amen.
