Today's Prayer

Prayer To God When Feeling Lonely

Heavenly Father,
You are the eternal God who never changes. 
You promised that You will never leave me or forsake me. 
Right now I am bringing You all the places where I feel abandoned. 
The friendships that had grown cold and the family members who do not understand me. 
The silence when I desperately need to hear from someone who cares. 
Lord, I confess that sometimes I have measured Your presence by whether other people show up for me, and I have let the actions of imperfect people make me question Your perfect faithfulness. 
But I always remember Your promise that You will never leave me, not when I am falling apart, not when I am asking the same desperate questions over and over, not even when I doubt that You are really here for me. 
Please Lord, help me to feel Your presence today, especially in the quiet moments when loneliness tries to convince me that I am forgotten, and remind me that Your love is not dependent on anyone else’s response to my pain. 
You are with me when I am in tears, in the silent scrolling, and in the feeling of emptiness. 
Thank You that I can say with confidence” the Lord is with me whom shall I fear?. 
Thank You Lord for loving me and answering my prayers. 
In Jesus’ precious name I pray. 
Amen.
