Stay Connected To The Body Of Christ (Hebrews 10:24-25)
“And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.” (Hebrews 10:24-25)
We, the children of God, are the body of Christ.
Jesus said in the Gospel of John, chapter fifteen, “I am the vine, you are the branches.
He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.” (John 15-5)
And in the epistle to the Ephesians chapter one, we read, ”And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.” (Ephesians 1:22-23)
St. Paul also said in his first epistle to the Colossians that our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in us, whom we have from God, and that we are not our own.
So being in a church, the body of Christ, is a very gracious thing and a blessing for all believers.
But sometimes, when we get stressed or face any pressure we may feel like withdrawing from our relationships with people in church because we do not have much energy to talk or express our depression.
But let me tell you that this is the devil’s plan for us.
He wants us isolated and alone so that he can defeat us.
But we should not obey this feeling of isolation cause if we isolate ourselves, we will have even less energy to deal with our pressures.
We must stay connected to our body in church, and be around caring and trustworthy people.
As we do so, we will find the encouragement and help we need to manage life’s pressures gracefully.
God designed everyone to walk through life together.
When we talk with people in our body honestly about our pressures, they can pray for us, lift us up, and encourage us.
We can do the same for them when they need it.
Make it a high priority to pray together as one body and intercede for one another.
Jesus promised us that if we prayed together as one body with one spirit and one mind, anything we ask from Him, He will answer it.
Let us read together, the Gospel of Mathew, chapter eighteen, “Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven.
For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.” (Mathew 18:19-20)
Amen
