Embrace Jesus’ Promises To Us (Philippians 4:12-13)

“I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound. 
Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. 
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” (Philippians 4:12-13)

Christ’s promise to everyone of us that in Him we can do all things. 
In Him only we can have His strength and His power over everything. 
That is why the main goal of all Christians is to be united with Jesus and not only to believe in Him. 
Believing is the first step but we have to continue walking in His path following His word as guidance for us to be united to Him. 
In Him we will be sanctified and be His holy temple and His indwelling place. 
We must realize that we live in a corrupted world that is full of evil which is very stressful and leads to anxiety and depression. 
When life’s pressures build up, it’s easy to lose peace and focus on the problem in front of us, which can lead us to worry about worst-case scenarios. 
But God’s promises remind us of who He is, and how He works in His wonderful ways every day to bless us, because of His great love for us. 
In the book of Isaiah, God promises us saying, “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. 
I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” 
Embracing God’s promises empowers us with the confidence we need to be graceful while we manage life’s pressures. 
When we embrace God’s promises to us, we choose to base our confidence on Him instead of on our circumstances. 
If we are feeling alone, we must remind ourselves of the epistle to the Hebrews, chapter thirteen, saying, “I will never leave you nor forsake you”. 
Amen.
