Wisdom Is A Gift Of God (Proverbs 2:6-12)

“For the LORD gives wisdom; From His mouth come knowledge and understanding; He stores up sound wisdom for the upright; He is a shield to those who walk uprightly; He guards the paths of justice, And preserves the way of His saints. 
Then you will understand righteousness and justice, Equity and every good path. 
When wisdom enters your heart, And knowledge is pleasant to your soul, Discretion will preserve you; Understanding will keep you, To deliver you from the way of evil,” (Proverbs 2:6-12)

Wisdom is a fruit of the Holy Spirit. Father God is the Spirit of wisdom. 
When we become true children of God, one of our main characteristics is being wise. 
Not having the wisdom of the world but God’s wisdom. 
So God’s wisdom is not human’s intelligence but it is discernment, sound judgment, godly perception and understanding. 
We all need God’s wisdom every day and in every decision we make. 
Without God’s wisdom, it is very difficult for us to live in this corrupted world.
Only through His grace, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, whom He has sent to us that we can attain godly wisdom in the Holy Spirit. 
In order to attain His wisdom and acknowledge that God’s way is better, we must humble and reverent our hearts to the Holy Spirit and surrender to Him to work in us to attain His wisdom. 
We have to submit to Jesus and be sanctified by the Holy Spirit to be holy and wise. 
Jesus’ ways are higher than ours. 
He sees the end goal and postures our lives towards that. 
It is defined by goodness, mercy, and wisdom. 
It fills us to live with the fruits of the Spirit. 
That is why seeking Jesus’ wisdom often requires a holy pause. 
We have to pray and read the Gospel so we can have the eyes to see and the ears to hear what Jesus has for us. 
We must have a humble heart to submit to Jesus’ wisdom to find the path He has placed before us.
Amen.
