Today's Devotional

The Lord Is Our Helper (Hebrews 13:5-6)

“Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. 
For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” 
So we may boldly say: “The LORD is my helper; I will not fear. 
What can man do to me?” (Hebrews 13:5-6)

When we face hard times, the devil our enemy, always whispers in our ears, saying, “where God is?” We must remember that Jesus Himself told us that the devil is a liar and the father of lies, so we must not believe him. 
He is the one who opposes us and wages war against us to make us feel that the path of following Jesus is so hard. 
But Jesus, our Lord and Savior, told us that in this world we will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, because He have overcome the world. (John 16:33)
He also said that in Him and Him only we may have peace. 
We must be confident that in the middle of all tribulations, Jesus is right there with us. 
Not only that, but He will be with us tomorrow and the day after. 
We read In Hebrews, chapter thirteen, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever” (Hebrews 13:8).
There will never come a time when He changes His mind and leaves us. 
Sometimes when we pray, it may seem as though Jesus is late in answering. 
Sometimes when He comes through for us, it is later than we expected. 
Jesus is never late. 
His delays are delays of love. 
He knows when He will interfere and how He will do it. 
He will answer in the way He chooses and it will be the best way. 
So all of us must Call on Jesus when we face any hard time. 
In His name we are more than conquerors. 
Amen.
