Prayer Repenting The Sin Of Bitterness

Dear Lord,
I checked my heart this morning before sitting in front of You in prayer. 
I confess that my heart is full of bitterness. 
Lord, when I let in negative thoughts toward my friends, and linger for too long, I realize that bitterness in my heart results. 
Help me Lord, to let go to what they did that offended me, and not to struggle to give it to you. 
Forgive me for holding on to bitterness instead of pursuing kindness. 
Apostle Paul in his letter to the Ephesians, admonishes me with this valuable truth, to get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words, and slander, as well as all kinds of evil behaviors. 
Instead, I must be kind, full of love, tenderhearted, forgiving to every one just as God through Christ has forgiven me. 
I know, Lord, that my bitterness turns people away from You, first, not just away from me. 
I know that showing kindness to people turns them towards You. 
Forgive me, Lord. 
I thank You that You have given me Your precious blood for the forgiveness of all my sins.
I sprinkle Your blood over my sins and I repent and promise You that I will fight the spirit of bitterness. 
In Your Holy name, I pray. 
Amen.
