Today's Prayer

Prayer asking Jesus To Set Us Free

Dear Jesus,
I've been living in a prison for too long. 
The devil bonded me with many sins. 
I know that You came to our world to set me free from sin. 
Yes Jesus, I believe Your word that in Your name I can be free from sin. 
I am taking hold of it today. 
Whenever I start drifting back to my prison, please pull me toward You. 
Thank you for your freedom, Lord. 
I know you went to great lengths to set me free. 
But Lord, I come to you today to confess that the weight of sin presses against my chest, tightening my will to rebuke the temptation of sin. 
The noise, the needs, the demands, they swirl around me like a relentless storm. 
I am weary, worn, and stretched thin. 
But I am reminding myself every day that I am not alone, that even in the chaos, You are my calm. 
When I do not have strength to rebuke sin and feel weak, please Lord, let my heart rest in You. 
Draw me close when I have no strength to resist. 
Hold me in the stillness of Your presence. 
Let me find refuge in Your unfailing arms. 
Thank You for having Your word that I rely on in the time of trouble. 
The truth is that You had set me free from all addiction to sin. 
I will hold on this truth and I will have the power in Your precious name to rebuke sin and be away from it. 
I trust Your word Lord. Thank You for saving me from my enemy the devil and forgive me for every time I submitted myself to him and his temptations. 
Thank you for giving me the hope in Your Holy Spirit that I will be free and be a new creation in Your holy name. 
Thank You for the forgiveness of Your Holy blood that You have shed on the cross for my sake. 
I sprinkle Your blood on me to be forgiven and be able to have a new start with You. 
You are the life and the light. 
I praise Your name now and forever. 
Amen.
