Today's Prayer

A Prayer for Forgiveness

Dear Lord,
I come to You with a repentant heart today, humbly acknowledging I haven’t handled things well. 
Please forgive me and cleanse me from all unrighteousness. 
Lord, with Your help, I sincerely choose to forgive the persons who have hurt me. 
I release them now and ask You to draw them near. 
When I am reminded of all the wrongs, please turn my thoughts to what is right. 
Help me discard my list of offenses, letting go of anger and resentment. 
Let true forgiveness be the first step in repairing my relationships as I enter a new season of freedom and grace. 
I know that without forgiveness, old hurts and offenses get in the way of my healing. 
Please Lord, let me be kind and compassionate like You and forgiving others be so easy as You have forgiven me. 
Your word in the Gospel said that If we confess our sins, You are faithful and just and will forgive us and purify us from all unrighteousness. 
I come to You now Lord, to confess my sin of condemning others and pointing on their weaknesses. 
Please Lord, forgive me and cover me with Your righteousness. 
Please Lord, create in me a new heart. Lord, I want to be in Your image and likeness. In Your holy name I pray. 
Amen.
