We Have To Express Thanksgiving And Praise (Psalm 148 : 5-6, 13-14)

“Let them praise the name of the LORD, For He commanded and they were created. 
He also established them forever and ever; He made a decree which shall not pass away…..
Let them praise the name of the LORD, For His name alone is exalted; His glory is above the earth and heaven. 
And He has exalted the horn of His people, The praise of all His saints— Of the children of Israel, A people near to Him. 
Praise the LORD!” (Psalm 148 : 5-6, 13-14)

Thanksgiving is a very crucial thing in our life, that we must do with every breathe coming out of us. 
It is not just something we do once around the holidays. 
It should be a daily practice of our hearts. 
Each day, we can start our prayers with thanksgiving. 
We must thank our Lord for the blessings and the good parts of our day. 
It helps us to recognize His goodness during our day, and it postures our hearts to be full of gratitude. 
In addition, it helps us see the world and our current circumstances the way God sees them. 
It allows us to take our eyes off our flesh and open them up to God’s goodness that is all around us. 
Sometimes, the only thing we may be grateful for in our day is the food on our tables. 
However, by acknowledging that one thing, we are taking our eyes off of the doubt or fear that may have surrounded us during your day, and it places our gaze back on God. 
Offering thanksgiving and praise remind us of the love of our Lord and His almighty power. 
Father God is our all-powerful, loving, kind, gentle, gracious, merciful Provider, Comforter, and Refuge. 
Being reminded of His character will foster a sense of appreciation and contentment over time. 
It will get easier and easier to see His hand in our daily life, even during the hardest tribulations. 
However, it will take time to grow a thankful heart as we acknowledge the Lord’s greatness, majesty, and character throughout each day we live on earth. 
Amen.
