Today's Prayer

A Prayer for a Clean Heart

Dear Lord,
As I clean my home of dust every day. 
Please, help me also to clean my heart and my mind from every evil thought or lustful desire. 
Forgive me, Lord, for any bitterness, anger, or sin You see in me. 
I want to be in Your image and likeness, Lord. 
Purify my thoughts and desires to reflect Your love and goodness in all I do. 
Please, Lord, help me be aware of how sin can creep deep into my inner self. 
Show me where I have let dirty attitudes like pride, envy, or selfishness take root in my heart, and help me to clean them out and replace them with the fruit of Your Spirit, which are, love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. 
Please, Lord, I need Your Holy Spirit to sanctify me and make me a new person. 
Remind me regularly to keep seeking and relying on You to empower me to grow positively. 
May my thoughts, words, and actions please You. 
I love You Lord and I trust in You and You alone. 
Please, help me build a closer relationships with You and be filled with the Holy Spirit all the days of my life on earth until I meet You Lord in heaven. 
Thank You Lord for loving me and giving me hope to be with You eternally. 
In Jesus’ name, I pray. 
Amen.
