Invest In Your Spiritual Growth (Hebrews 12:1-2)

"Let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. 
And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith." (Hebrews 12:1-2)

The main goal of every believer is to grow stronger in faith. 
Every year seems to get harder, making us more aware of our need for an increased trust in God. 
We continually strive to grow spiritually to handle better the blows that are sure to keep coming. 
We all know that hard days that we are facing, are much more manageable with a full unity with Christ in the Holy Spirit, because He is the only One who overcomes all the devilish spirits. 
We have to focus on Jesus’ unconditional love and an understanding of His almighty control and care that watch over every aspect of our lives. 
We want to strengthen our faith and trust in our Lord, Jesus Christ, because He is our Lord and savior. 
We all have dealt with some tough stuff, know more may come, and would love the confidence that our trust in God is so grand that fear and uncertainty of the future have very little hold on us. 
How can we see to it that we make Jesus our mighty go-to without a thought, seek Him first always, and lean harder on Him without regress, once and for all? First, by increasing prayer time, reading and memorizing more of God’s word in the Gospel. 
Second, and the most important thing is, to stay faithful to our Lord by obeying His commandments. 
Keep faithfully in unity with Him and never let sin separate us from His presence.
Continue running the race of faith with our eyes fixed on Jesus, our Savior, initiator, and perfecter of our faith. 
Stay faithful, knowing that with every opportunity taken to surrender to Him, to place our faith in Him, to see His face shining through every struggle, and look back and take notice of how He was always loving, leading, and guiding us to the ways to grow our faith. 
It is a process. A hard-earned but well worth the process. 
Spiritual growth is established as we keep living with and dedicated to the Lord. 
We must keep investing our time, attention, and resources in Him as His holy word instructs. 
When we stay faithful to our Lord, He will honor our obedience, strengthen our faith and and help us to be always faithful. 
Amen.
