Today's Prayer

Prayer To Love My Enemy

Jesus my Lord,
You have commanded me to love those who hate me and persecute me. 
But I want to confess, Lord, that loving my enemies feels impossible. 
I confess the hurt, anger, and resentment I feel toward those who have wronged me.
I want to obey Your command, Jesus,  but I am full of hurt and cannot overcome it. 
I know Lord, that I cannot do anything without the help of Your Holy Spirit and I know also that nothing is impossible with You. 
Help me, Lord, to release these emotions and replace them with love and forgiveness. 
Empower me through Your Holy Spirit to bless and pray for them, even when it’s hard. 
I ask for Your blessings over the people who have hurt me, trusting that You are working in their lives as much as You are in mine. 
Help me to see them as You do, with compassion and mercy. 
Heal the broken places in my heart, and use what was meant for harm to bring about good. 
Thank You for loving me, even when I fall short.
I want to thank You Jesus for the cross. 
You have confronted all the evil spirits on the cross and You defeated them victoriously. 
Thank You for giving me Your overcoming power over all theses spirits. 
Lord, please help me to receive Your overcoming power in the Holy Spirit. 
I need to focus more on You and not on myself. 
I want to forgive all those who hurt me in order to be able to love them. 
Fill me, Lord, with Your love and be able to transfer it to all those who are around either family or friends. 
Please Lord, hear my cry. 
In Your precious name, I pray. 
Amen.
