Today's Prayer

A Prayer for Perspective

Lord Jesus,
Your word in the Gospel warns me to not be conformed to the pattern of this world. 
Please help me Lord, to be transformed by the renewing of my mind. 
Lord, I want to see things from Your perspective not the world’s, in order to see Your perfect, good, and pleasing will. 
For Your thought Lord, is not my thoughts, neither are Your ways my ways. 
As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are Your ways higher than my ways and Your thoughts than my thoughts. 
Lord, please help me see my loved ones from your perspective. 
Help me see all my circumstances from Your perspective. 
I need Your holy lenses to see beyond my assumptions, and to view others as You see them. 
Thank you for removing the dark clouds of deception and helping me enter the light of Your truth. 
Please Lord, I need Your presence in me in order to discern things and do Your will in my life. 
In Your holy name, I pray. 
Amen.
