Today's Prayer

Prayer To Be Faithful

Dear Jesus,
I really need to obey You. 
I confess that I have such a hard time reading Your word. 
I am always messing up. 
I ask You Jesus for Your grace because I can not do it in my own. 
I want to move despite my feelings, out of a heart of love for You, Lord, rather than demands of self. 
Jesus, I have a heart to obey You and to be faithful to You. 
But, I need Your push in the Holy Spirit to reject all the worldly thoughts and lustful desires that entangle me. 
Jesus, I confess today that I am not always obedient. 
In fact, I am often rebellious. 
Oh, Jesus, forgive me. Have mercy on me. 
I repent to You and I want to obey Your commands easily and not struggle doing them. 
I want to draw near to You and I want You to draw near me. 
I ask that any impediments or strongholds that stand in the way of my love for You be removed now, in Your name. 
I ask for Your grace to equip me as I go a new way. 
I ask for Your love to lead me and to compel me in all my ways. 
I need You and I need Your help. 
I ask to be faithful in the little so that I can be put over Your much. 
In Your almighty name, I pray. 
Amen.
