Today's Prayer

A Prayer for Our Children’s Protection

My Lord Jesus,
I ask You to protect my children and shield them from danger. 
Make them strong, defined by Your character, so that they can lean hard on You for wisdom in any situation. 
Guard them by the power of Your name, and allow nothing formed against them to prosper. 
Hold them close to Your heart, with their eyes focused always on You. 
At home, work, or wherever they go, keep their hearts and thoughts pure. 
Lead them away from temptation, and help them to be continually aware of their enemy’s efforts to distract, deceive, or discourage them. 
Cancel every attempt to discredit them or their salvation. 
May Your right hand strengthen them daily as You guard them with Your presence. 
Help them wear their spiritual armor well, as they try to lead their lives with integrity and honor. 
Seal up the exits that cry for escape when responsibilities grow heavy on their shoulders. 
Thank You Lord, that You promise to carry their burdens and lighten their load in the daily battles of life. 
Preserve their testimonies and keep their faith rooted deeply in You, Lord. 
You are my sure defense, and You are the only One who can truly keep them safe. Thank You, Jesus. 
Amen.
