Today's Devotional

Thank You Jesus For Our New Life In You (2Corinthians 5: 16-19)

“Therefore, from now on, we regard no one according to the flesh. 
Even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him thus no longer. 
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. 
Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.” (2Corinthians 5: 16-19)

Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, confronted the evil spirits and death on the cross. 
He overcame them and defeated them by His resurrection from the dead. 
All those who believe in Him, accept Him, and receive Him will be having a new nature and a new life. 
A resurrected life like His with a full power to reject sin and have a sanctified soul, spirit, and body. 
St. Paul today is telling us that if anyone is in Christ and Christ is in Him, he is a new creation. 
That means the old way of living, being anxious, fearful , arrogant, envious, hateful, etc., became a former mode of operation. 
Now we are equipped to live as Jesus did, and all the fruit of His Holy Spirit are all manifested in us. 
Jesus told us, not to be anxious about what we would eat or drink or wear because our heavenly Father feeds the birds of the air and clothes the lilies of the field, and we mean so much more to Him than animal or plant life. 
We all must start our day by thanking God for our new life in Christ, which was offered to us on the cross, and always ask for the help of His Holy Spirit, which dwells in us, for all what we need with faith instead of succumbing to fear, worry, or anxiety. 
Amen.
