Today's Prayer

A Prayer For A Compassionate Heart

Dear Lord,
I come to You today asking for Your mercy on me. 
Lord, I confess that I always look to people around me with an envy eye. 
I am always dissatisfied with what I have and I do forget to thank You for everything I have that You have given me. 
Lord, I confess that I am under a sever attack from the devil which I do not resist as You have commanded me. 
I feel like I am deprived of will and I cannot resist the evil Spirit. 
Please, Lord, come and help me now in the Holy Spirit. 
I need You Lord. 
You are my strength when I am weak. 
I want to rise up and be free from all these unclean spirits. 
I repent of all sins I have, pride, envy, and dissatisfaction. 
I promise You that I will reject any thought that separates me from Your presence. 
I feel like I am in hell. 
I cannot bear this feeling of being away from You. 
I want to return back to Your bosom and feel safe and secure. 
In You I find rest and peace. 
I will fast and pray to overcome these ugly and unclean spirits. 
As I deny myself something I enjoy during this fast, help me remember those who are in need around me. 
Please, Lord, give me a compassionate heart like Yours. 
I want to be filled with love, compassion, and generosity. 
Let this fast open my eyes to the struggles of others the hurting, the lonely, etc. 
While I am fasting, help me develop the compassionate heart You want me to have. 
I want to become a more kind and generous person through this fast. 
Let my heart be softened by Your love so I can see the needs of others through Your eyes and be moved to put love into action. 
Thank you, Lord, that in You I have hope to change and be in Your image and likeness. 
In Your precious name, I pray. 
Amen.
