Today's Prayer

A Prayer When We Lose Hope

My Lord & Savior Jesus,
I know You are near me. 
Even in the valley overshadowed with the threatening specter of death, You are beside me giving me every breath of strength. 
In this season of strife and shadow, I need Your power. 
Fill me with hope in Your Holy Spirit. 
Please Lord, strengthen me by Your Holy Spirit. 
Grant me the fortitude to withstand the slings of the enemy. 
Lord, I am worn out with sadness, with no energy for anything, except to cry to You. 
I read the Gospel everyday and I know that You promised me with comfort and hope. 
Please Lord, comfort me now. 
You faced all these evil spirits on the cross and You defeated them for my sake. 
Please, Lord, save me and give me power now to defeat the spirit of sadness and failure. 
You are the almighty God, I praise Your name. 
I trust in You Lord. 
You are the God of all hope. 
Please help me to trust You more and more and to never waver in my faith.
Bless me with Your joy, peace, and hope as I trust in You. 
Life can feel hopeless at times, but I know You are fully trustworthy. 
I praise Your name now and forever. 
Amen.
