Unity and Diversity in One Body (1Corinthians 2: 12-15)

“For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ.
For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free—and have all been made to drink into one Spirit. 
For in fact the body is not one member but many. 
If the foot should say, “Because I am not a hand, I am not of the body,” is it therefore not of the body?“ (1Corinthians 2:12-15)

We are the body of Christ, the Church. 
Jesus said that He is the vine and we are the branches and he who abides in Him bear much fruit for without Him we can do nothing. (John 15:5) 
Each one of us who has chosen to be united with Jesus, the word of God, in the Holy Spirit, has become a member of His body. 
For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body and have all been made to drink into one Spirit. 
So as God fellowworkers, we cooperate with Him to do His will. 
By this cooperation with God, we do not mean working together of equals, rather, we mean that He is the Lord, and we His children are called to participate obediently in His work. 
We as many members in one body, that is to say, in Jesus Christ, must be united to each other in love. 
Jesus’ commands us to love one another as He has loved us. 
We must intercede and pray for each other. 
We must have mercy and compassion towards each other. 
If one member is in pain, sick, or under a devilish attack, we rebuke the devil in the name of Jesus, and stand beside him as one strong body to overcome the devil. 
And this is what we call, the church of Christ. 
Amen.
