Behave Like a Christian (Romans 12: 19-21)

“Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord. 
Therefore “If your enemy is hungry, feed him; If he is thirsty, give him a drink; For in so doing you will heap coals of fire on his head.” 
Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.” (Romans 12: 19-21)

Father God is the only One who can carry out a righteous judgment and perfect vengeance cause He knows all the hidden thoughts and intensions of everyone of us. 
St. Paul is advising us to not avenge ourselves cause vengeance is God’s job not ours. 
He is the only One who knows the inner intensions of everyone and he is just to repay. 
But we, the believers in Christ, have a very important role to do to let God’s hands stretch to return our rights back to us. 
We have to obey the commands of Jesus and be united with Him in the Holy Spirit and to abide in Him. 
Jesus is kind, a giver, full of compassion, and so patient. 
So if we are united with Him we will have His fruit in us and we will obey His commands smoothly. 
All His fruits must be revealed in us in doing His works. 
Jesus’ command is to love our enemies so if  our enemy is hungry, we will feed him because Jesus, who is in us, is love. 
If we are in Christ and He is in us, we will overcome evil with Christ’s love.
Amen.
