In Jesus, We Won’t Be Shaken (Psalm 62:1-2)

“Truly my soul silently waits for God; From Him comes my salvation.
He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be greatly moved.” (Psalm 62:1-2)

We, the Christians, are those who did accept Jesus Christ by faith, did receive Him, and get united with Him in the Holy Spirit. 
Having Jesus dwelling in us made us changed and we received His life and the new nature. 
God imparts to us His Spirit, and we are born again. 
Where we would once be shaken by personal attacks or troubles, now we can stand strong in Christ. 
The Psalmist addresses our unshakable security in God, both now and for eternity. 
David says, “Truly my soul finds rest in God; my salvation comes from him.” When we trust in God, we find peace and rest, despite the situation we may be facing. 
Temporary situations will change, for good or ill, so placing our trust in situations or other people will always fail us. 
However, God doesn’t change, and He is unshakable. 
Therefore, we can also live unshakable. 
David states that only God provides lasting protection. 
He Says “Trust in Him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge.” 
In relationship with the Father, through the Son, Jesus Christ, we can go to Him, cast our cares upon Him during hard times and find the rest and peace we need. 
His protection and love go beyond this life into the eternal. 
A security that remains and lasts, giving us hope as an anchor for the soul. 
Amen.
