The Fruit Of Being United With Jesus (1John4:12-16)

“No one has seen God at any time.
If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us.
By this we know that we abide in Him, and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit. 
And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent the Son as Savior of the world. 
Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God.
And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. 
God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him.” (1John4:12-16)

The love of Christ is not just an idea or sentiment, but it is a real divine life power. 
God’s love for us is the inflowing of a life and a power in which we can be filled with His life, love, and be able to transfer this love to everyone we know. 
It is only through the indwelling of His Holy Spirit in us that we can realize what Jesus has done for us, and is doing for us. 
His love is our strength. 
He loved us even when we were sinners and subject to corruption. 
But the grace of our unity with Him made us capable of escaping from the natural law, provided that we retained the beauty of innocence with which we were created.
That is to say, His indwelling in us shielded us even from natural corruption. 
We, the believers, must not only know this truth but receive it inside us with faith in order for Jesus be able to exert His full power of love and life in us.
We must live in unity with Him and abide in Him to receive His strength and overcoming power over sin and death. 
In Him we can live in peace and joy that nobody can take from us. 
In Him we can love all people around us even our enemies. 
When we are united with Him we can be holy as He is holy and be full of His wisdom. 
In Him we can know all the heavenly mysteries. 
Thank You Jesus for loving us. 
Amen.
