Praise The Lord All The Time (Luke 10:21-23)
“In that hour Jesus rejoiced in the Spirit and said, “I thank You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and prudent and revealed them to babes.
Even so, Father, for so it seemed good in Your sight.
All things have been delivered to Me by My Father, and no one knows who the Son is except the Father, and who the Father is except the Son, and the one to whom the Son wills to reveal Him.”
Then He turned to His disciples and said privately, “Blessed are the eyes which see the things you see.” (Luke 10:21-23)
We, the children of God, have to praise our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, for His great gift of salvation.
Knowing that all fall short when it comes to sin, we would be nowhere without Jesus.
Sometimes His salvation gift can be taken for granted when we think we're doing it all "right" in His eyes.
Honest reflection about who Jesus is and what He has done for us opens our hearts for compassion and forgiveness towards others.
With a clean heart, we magnify God and invite Him in.
Praise is powerful.
Jesus praised His father.
If Jesus could praise during the suffering and persecution, He endured, indeed, we can and should glorify God.
He is worthy of our praise.
We must remind ourselves that we are the children of God, and He wants us to come before His presence boldly.
We speak out how God is in control and working all things for our good.
Saying them aloud allows our ears to hear and our hearts to respond.
Let St. Paul’s messages to us through all his epistles that Christ dwell among us richly as we teach and admonish one another with all the wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God in gratitude in our hearts.
And whatever we do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.
Sometimes simply being in the presence of God makes our hearts want to sing.
To start our prayers with praises, we find comfort and joy.
As our hearts connect to God, we disconnect from the world and the stress that can imprison us.
Praising the Lord allows us to enter God's presence with thanksgiving and makes the enemy flee.
We need to rejoice and reconnect with God privately and to empty ourselves so that we will be filled with His joy, peace, and comfort.
Let us come before Him with thanksgiving and extol Him.
Amen.
