Qualities Needed To Be In Believers (James 1:19-21)

“So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger; for the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God.
Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.” (James 1:19-21)

We, the believers in the name of Christ, know that human anger does not produce the righteousness God desires.
Patience in our interactions is crucial to continue that bond of love and light in our families and relationships.
Jesus was so patient with us and He is always patient with us when we sin and need His forgiveness.
As Christians, we are held to a standard of patience with the world around us and each other.
The world around us teaches us to get angry, take revenge, quarrel and fight when someone wrongs us or assault us.
We see all this on the internet and television, but that is not how we are called to live.
Division is what Satan would love to see among families and believers, and we have to fight against that temptation so we can have a peaceful life that loves and looks after others.
God will give us discernment if we ask Him for it.
He will give us wisdom when we should talk and when not to speak.
St. Paul commanded us in his epistle to the Colossians, chapter three, to clothe ourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.
To forgive anyone who offends us, remembering that the Lord forgave us, so we must forgive others.
He continued to affirm that we must clothe ourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony.
So since God has chosen us to be His holy people, we must be like Him and be filled with love and patience.
Amen.
