Today's Prayer

Prayer Asking For A New Heart

Dear Father God,
Forgive me for the times I was distracted with the world and its attractions.
I am tired of trying to fit in, in this ugly and corrupted world.
Soften my heart, Lord, to be fully devoted to You and You alone, free from the distractions of the world around me.
Put a new heart and new spirit within me.
Replace my heart of stone with heart of flesh.
I want to be filled with Your kindness and compassion.
Help me to cultivate worship in my life by keeping Your word in my heart, giving of myself and my resources, recognizing Your authority and majesty, and living holy life pleasing to You.
Lead me in worshipping You through Your Spirit and the truth of Your word.
Help me to worship You in the splendor of Your holiness.
Lord, I need Your help to keep every thought captive to the obedience of Your commandments and word.
In Jesus’ almighty name, I pray, amen.
