Seek The Lord And He Will Deliver Us From Fear (Psalm 34:1-7)

"I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.
My soul shall make its boast in the Lord; The humble shall hear of it and be glad.
Oh, magnify the Lord with me. And let us exalt His name together. I sought the Lord, and He heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.” ( Psalm 34:1-7.)
Fear is the spirit of the devil.
When he tempts us the first thing we feel is fear because we feel we are separated from God’s protection and His presence of peace.
Fear and anxiety are in a constant and consistent battle with us.
All the news of wars, earthquakes, hurricanes, famines, make us disturbed and anxious.
But, we the believers of Father God, and His Son Jesus Christ, know that God is love and He sent His Son to save us from fear of death and sin.
He is the creator of earth and heaven and full of power of love, mercy, and protection for those who accepted Him and abided in Him.
While fear may whisper lies in our ears, God’s truth is an undeniable declaration of love, strength, and presence.
Jesus defeated the spirit of fear when He defeated death and He resurrected.
He gave us this power in His name.
When we abide in Him the Holy Spirit gives us His peace.
When the devil throws his fear into our hearts we pray and ask the Holy Spirit to defeat this feeling and we embrace the truth of Jesus’ love and protection and we slowly dismantle the walls that fear has built around our hearts and minds.
When fear seeks to consume us, may we remember and acknowledge that faith invites us to trust in our Lord’s power of peace and protection which is far greater than ourselves.
The Psalmist in these verses is telling us to seek the Lord in the days of trouble and He will deliver us.
We must trust His power to deliver us in His almighty name, and not leave ourselves under the devil’s attack.
The choice is ours to make.
We can allow fear to dictate our lives, or we can step forward into the future with faith, trusting that God is with us every step of the way.
As we walk through life’s unknowns and the deep valleys, may we remember that we are not defined by our fears but by our faith in Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who defeated all the evil spirits for us and gave us this victory to fight and resist all these evil spirits of fear, anxiety, and depression.
Jesus empowers us with all the fruits of His Spirit, love, peace, rest, and victory over all the temptations of the devil.
May we be strong and courageous, seeking Him in our struggles and more than anything.
May we be delivered from our fears with both our active pursuit of faith and His active pursuit to protect and guide us.
Amen.
