God Has Not Given Us A Spirit Of Fear, But Of Power (2Timothy 1:7-10)

“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
Not Ashamed of the Gospel Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me His prisoner, but share with me in the sufferings for the gospel according to the power of God, who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began, but has now been revealed by the appearing of our Savior Jesus Christ, who has abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel” (2Timothy 1:7-10.)

The Spirit of God, the Holy Spirit, is the spirit of love and peace.
If we have the Holy Spirit in us we should not fear anything, cause love is the powerful Spirit that abolishes any fear.
Father God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to confront the spirit of fear and all the evil spirits on the cross and he defeated them all and He rose from the dead to give us His resurrected Spirit over any evil spirit in His name.
God does not intend for us to be bound by fear.
How beautiful that instead, He empowers us to rise above it.
In the face of any feeling of anxiety or fear, we are reminded that we possess a spirit of power, love, and self-discipline.
This power enables us to confront our fears head-on, while God’s love provides the assurance that we are never alone in our struggles.
It is an invitation to reclaim our minds and hearts from the grip of anxiety and to embrace the strength that is provided to us in the Holy Spirit.
If we have faith and trust in our Lord, Jesus Christ, and we did accept Him in us, we have all the power to defeat any thought of fear, failure, discouragement, or depression. It is our responsibility to acknowledge this truth so we can dismantle the fear that seems to have become tattooed on our hearts.
The command to be strong and courageous is not a mere suggestion; it is a call to action from our Lord, Jesus Christ.
He understands the battles we face, both externally and internally.
He encourages us to stand firm and abide in Him, reminding us that He is always with us, no matter where we find ourselves, which includes the dark and harsh moments this life can bring.
When we feel discouraged, fearful, or overwhelmed, we can take comfort in the knowledge that God’s presence is a constant source of strength.
We do not have to dismiss our fears and pretend they do not exist.
Instead, we are empowered to face them with courage that Jesus in us will defeat them all.
Amen.
