Today's Prayer

Prayer For a God-Honoring Work Day

Dear Lord,
Thank You for a new day to bless Your name. 
Thank You for having work to earn my living. 
Thank You for blessing me with that kind of Job that You have given me. 
Please Lord, establish the work of my hands by helping me to be productive, patient, focused, and insightful. Keep me from distractions and from technology hindering my work instead of helping it. 
May your Spirit lead me in my work and help me to be joyful, creative, and worshipful, constantly, reminding me of Your love. 
You are the reason I have breath in my lungs. 
Teach me Lord, to align my work, family, church life, and rest in a way that would maximize Your glory and allow me to bear the most fruit for Your kingdom. 
And as I work, please Lord, help me to fix my eyes on You and  Your salvation plan that You accomplished for me on the cross. 
You Jesus, have saved me from all the evil spirits that attack me all day and You gave me Your overcoming power to defeat them in Your almighty name.  
Thank You Jesus, for this treasure that I could not earn, and the rest that I could not otherwise experience, and a living hope that will fuel me to work for the glory of God. 
In Your precious name, I pray. 
Amen.
