Today's Prayer

A Prayer Proclaiming God Is My Refuge

Heavenly Father,
I know that whoever dwells in Your shelter will rest in Your everlasting peace.
I will proclaim that You are my refuge, my fortress, and my God, in whom I trust. 
Surely You will save me from the devil’s’s snare and his deadly schemes. 
You will cover  me with Your Holy Spirit to protect me from his envious eyes and in Your Holy Spirit I will find refuge. 
Your faithfulness will be my shield and rampart. 
I will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plagues and famines that destroy the whole world. 
I know that if I unite with You and abide in You no harm will overtake me, and no disaster will come near my house, for You will command Your angels to guard me in all my ways. 
They will lift me up in their hands, so that I will not strike my foot against a stone.
Your promise to all Your children that You will rescue them all. 
Father God, I will call on You in the day of trouble and You will answer me. 
You will deliver me and save me in Your almighty name. Amen.
