Today's Prayer

Prayer For Jesus To Ease My Heartache

Dear Jesus,
My heart aches as I think about everyone who hurt me even my closest friends.
Everything that has happened in my life recently makes me sad and full of self-pity.
I know that self-pity is a sin as well as pride but still I can not avoid being so sad. 
Sometimes I question where are You and why You would allow such hurt? 
Forgive me for blaming You for my broken heart. 
I know Your word in the Gospel said that no one be tempted say I am tempted by God. 
I know that all what is happening to me is a consequence of my bad decisions or wrong choices. 
I know that I am the one whom to be blamed because I did not go to You and ask Your guidance and Your wisdom. 
I used to do everything by my own hands and by my own decisions. 
Forgive me Lord that I did not obey Your word and I did not surrender all of me to You. 
Forgive me, Lord, for not bringing my hurt to You sooner. 
Help me sense Your presence here in the midst of my heartache and remind me of Your comfort and faithfulness. 
Jesus, Your Word tells me that You will “heal the brokenhearted and bind up their wounds.”
I am bringing my wounded heart to You because I need healing. 
There is no one else who is able to heal, comfort and restore my brokenness. 
Thank You for your understanding and how You pour out blessings in abundance. 
You are a good God  who is full of love and mercy. 
Thank You for Your precious blood that You shed on the cross to cover me with Your mercy and forgiveness. 
Thank You that in You I can have a new holy nature and have the privilege to be called Your child. 
I rejoice in You, my Healer and Restorer. 
I trust You to ease my heartache and give me renewed joy, hope, and eternal life. 
In Jesus’ name I pray. 
Amen.
