Today's Prayer

A Prayer to Guard Against The Devil’s Attacks

Dear Lord,
The devil, my enemy, does not stop attacking me spiritually and physically.
He fights me so hard with a lot of fearful thoughts and lustful desires. 
I am so exhausted fighting him back. 
I confess that I do not resist him to the end but sometimes believe his lies and obey his ways. 
I am so weak and I give in to him so quickly. 
Remind me today Lord, that the battle belongs to You, and whatever I am up against can be taken down in one fell swoop by Your mighty hand. 
Please help me to trust You more, to stop wasting time just spinning my wheels or fighting in my strength.
Forgive me for the times I have neglected to set my eyes and heart on You, for the days I have forgotten to come to You first. 
Please Lord, fill me with the power of Your Holy Spirit. 
Fill me with Your wisdom and discernment to make me aware of the enemy’s traps, so I can stand strong against his schemes. 
Thank you for Your constant reminders that Your presence will go with me, in whatever I face, and You will give me rest and peace as You promised.
I want to be Your faithful child who loves You and obeys Your commands.
I want to be strong in fighting back the devil and be filled with determination to see  with my own eyes his defeat.
I pray in Your precious name.
Amen.
