Today's Prayer

Prayer For Jesus To Release Us From Worry

Dear Lord,
I woke up this morning and my heart is so heavy right now. 
Lord, I come to You cause I don’t want to live this way anymore. 
I don’t want to go to bed thinking about the thing that is weighing me down and wake up thinking about the same thing all day. 
You said in the Gospel of Mathew “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” 
I choose today to cast all my cares and worries on You and list them all one by one, throwing them from my heart to yours. 
All the evil thoughts and worries that are weighing me down I rebuke them in Jesus name. 
Forgive me Lord, for the times I have filled out my mind with worry and for when I try to fix it on my own. 
I confess that when I do that, I feel overwhelmed, consumed, and depressed. 
Lord, I am choosing today to fully give it all to You.  
Thank You for being such an amazing God. 
As I throw each worry off, You don’t miss one. 
You are the perfect Lord and Savior and the perfect burden carrier. 
I know You can carry this for me and resolve it the way You see best and the outcome that You desire. 
I trust You Lord. I want to honor Your Word and no longer carry the weight of this ugly world. 
Hold me close as I humbly come to You. 
I love You Lord and I praise Your almighty name, amen.
