Our Hope Is Braced In Eternity With Christ (1Peter 1:3-5.)

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.” (1Peter 1:3-5.)

As believers, our hope is unshakable in the promise of eternity with Christ.
Jesus’ resurrection from the dead gives us the living hope to be resurrected with Him.
As we die with Him we will be resurrected with Him. 
Being united with Jesus in the Holy Spirit, we can obtain all his authority over sin and death. 
He has given us a new nature victorious over all the evil spirits. 
Our inheritance as children of God can never perish, spoil or fade. 
This inheritance is kept for us. 
Our hope is not based on the uncertainties of this world, but on the promises of God. 
The inheritance that awaits us in heaven is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading. 
It’s a hope that transcends the temporary troubles of this life. 
When we focus on this eternal hope, we are able to persevere through challenges. 
St. Paul said that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. 
We must trust that no matter what we face in our present life, tomorrow is secure in Christ. 
This hope makes us live in joy bearing any suffering for the sake of His name, knowing that our trials are temporary and that they are preparing us for an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. 
When Jesus will appear in His glory, we will be glorified with Him. 
Amen.
