Our Citizenship Is In Heaven (Philippians 3:20-21.)

“For our citizenship is in heaven, for which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body, according to the working by which He is able even to subdue all things to Himself.”(Philippians 3:20-21.)

We, as believers, are called to be Jesus-focused.
Jesus wants us to keep our attention on what has eternal value.
One of the most powerful reasons to be Jesus-focused is that He is our Mediator to Father God.
Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life.
He is the One who will transform us in the Holy Spirit to heavenly persons.
He will transform our lowly bodies that it may be conformed to His glorious body.
How?
He saved us to be His and be able to overcome every temptation and lustful sins in His name.
He descended from heaven, took our body, and confronted on the cross all the devilish spirits.
He abolished them and overcame them for us.
His resurrection raised us all with Him.
How?
When we get united with our Savior, Jesus Christ, in the Holy Spirit, we will have His authority over sin and death that entered the world through the devil’s envy to us.
To be full of His eternal life is what will make our citizenship is in heaven.
Being focused on Jesus doesn’t mean neglecting our earthly responsibilities, but it does mean living with a mindset that prioritizes God’s timeless truths over this world’s temporary concerns.
Doing so will help us shift our perspective each day, so we can live with a sense of joyful anticipation for the glorious future that awaits us.
While we live and work in this world, our true home is not here on earth but in heaven, where we will spend eternity with Jesus.
This understanding changes how we view the world and our place in it.
It reminds us that the challenges of this life are temporary and that our ultimate destiny is secure, In His Life.
Amen.
