Today's Devotional

Know that Jesus Feels What We Are Going Through  (Hebrews 4:15-16.)

“Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need." (Hebrews 4:15-16.)

Jesus throughout His whole life on earth and His confrontation with all the devilish spirits on the cross, felt the feeling of pain, loss, weariness, loneliness, grief, and all the other struggles in life. 
He understands what we are going through more than we can imagine. 
St. Paul reminds us that we have our Lord, Jesus Christ, who came in the flesh to feel us and to sympathize with our weaknesses, and in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. 
He asked us to come to Him when we are heavy loaded and tired and He will relieve us. 
He is not far from us up in heaven but, because He loves us and wants to save us, descended from heaven to overcome all our suffering and pain and release us from our enemy and tyranny, the devil. 
He has been relentless to take the first step to call us to Himself from the very beginning. 
He wants to tell us that He is always there for us. 
All what we need to do is to answer His call and submit to His advices, that is to say, His commandments to be free from all the pain and agony. 
In fact, whenever we respond to Jesus’ grace by faith and get united to Him, we can be certain that He has always been there, leading us to Himself. 
When we open ourselves to the work of sanctification of the Holy Spirit in us, we can enter to Jesus’ rest and peace.
