Today's Prayer.

A Prayer to Thank God for The Past Year

Dear Lord,
I am very thankful for the past year you counted in peace and thank you for a new year that You will fill with Your blessings, Your grace, and Your authority over all evil spirits. 
My hope is found in You, and You alone. 
In this year, I pray that You find a way to fill the void in my heart. 
To be able to silence every lie from the enemy that he whispers in my inner ears. 
Let me see myself in Your eyes not the people’s eyes. 
Lord, may I gain compassion and understanding from You so that I may shine Your love and light in a darkened world around me. 
I want to leave the old behind and embrace the new with You. 
You are the Alpha and Omega, our Prince of Peace, Lord of Lords, and King of Kings. 
Help me to remember all the good things You have done to me in the past and be always thankful to You. 
Thank you for Your comforting presence, guiding me in this fallen world and protecting me from the evil one. 
I love you Lord. In Jesus’ name I pray. 
Amen.
